Another first
First haircut. Good-bye shaggy, vaguely mullet-ish wild baby hair,

hello, sleek, stylin', almost-10-months-and-look-at-me haircut!

I know...she looks so old. The lady in the playroom at the gym actually said, "Hi Baby Hannah! Oh wait, you're not a baby anymore, you're just Hannah." Um, what? I'm just not ready to let go of her being a baby- she's not even one yet, for heaven's sake!
Anyway back to the haircut. It went really well, I took her to my hairdresser (hair stylist? hair professional?) who has nephews and is good with babies. We stood and looked out the window while Kristen cut away- Hannah didn't even know what was going on. The dogs that walked by were especially helpful; she's totally fascinated by dogs.
Speaking of dogs, I think her first word* might be "doggy" or "woof" - she says "dah" and makes a "ooohf" sound while pointing at the window about 800 times a day, which means "pick me up so we can go see if the neighbor's dog is in the yard!" Actual close encounters with the canine kind have freaked her out a little - she REALLY doesn't like to be licked in the face (even though that's where all the good food bits are) - but she loves dogs from a distance.
*She also says "dah-dee" a lot, but we have yet to see it used in a context associated with Nick. She'll say it when he's around, but she'll also say it when she's picking lint out of the rug or looking at the crazy plastic bird on her mobile. Nick has never been spotted cleaning the rug or hanging out in the mobile, so we're pretty sure she's not thinking of him.

Oh my goodness! I'll still call her baby Hannah, but oh my what a big girl haircut:). Such a sweet girl:). Thanks for sharing!
Oh my gosh, get that girl an agent. She is unbelievably beautiful and that haircut totally suits her. Aaaaw!

Good for you. I forgot to do the before picture. Henry had his second hair cut last week after his first Easter Egg hunt (which I also neglected to take pictures of).
