We are about to officially become a "family" instead of a couple...just waiting on Hannah to make her grand arrival! Here are some stories from the pregnancy to enjoy while we wait!

The first three weeks

I looked at my wrist two days ago and realized that I still had a patch of adhesive tape residue from my IV. I got out of the hospital June 17. I only know what day it is now because Friday was the 4th of July and Nick's birthday.

Speaking of the Fourth, here's Hannah in her festive attire (Thanks for the Fourth of July shoes, Aunt Staci!). We had friends who assured us we'd never leave the house again after we had a baby. Maybe it's because we had to move and everything, but Hannah has done quite a bit outside the home.

In her first 3 weeks of life, we have:
Moved out of our apartment in Temple,
Taken Hannah on her first airplane ride,
Moved into our house in Madison,
Been out to eat 8 or 10 times,
Been to the Farmers' Market (twice),
Attended the 3rd of July Concert on the Square at the capitol building,
Visited the zoo (twice),
Been to our friends Julie and Pat's for dinner,
Attended the local neighborhood association Fourth of July party,
and walked several miles through the neighborhoods, across campus, and to the coffee shop a couple times. I know babies have their own personalities independent of anything you try to instill in them, but if there's any chance of making Hannah a baby-about-town, we're working on it!

And here's what she looks like when she really doesn't want to eat any more. Too funny, and still adorable!

Hi Katie and Nick,

Hannah is a beaut. Very cute, and quite the traveller, it seems. Hopefully all is well with you guys!

She's so precious! And you guys are amazing and fantastic parents!! :)

We miss you so much! It's great to see pictures of Hannah; although, I'd MUCH rather give her a big smooch. :)
