False Alarm

I started having contractions last night- not really all that painful, but my stomach got hard as a rock (not a usual state of affairs for my abdomen) and felt kind of crampy, then relaxed. They happened every half hour or so starting around 8 p.m. I got really excited and thought, "This is it, she's going to come on her own," so of course I couldn't sleep. I stayed up, finished my book, and spent some time thinking about what it was going to be like to be a mom. Finally, around 2:30, I decided to go to bed. And I woke up at 9. Apparently I slept through the contractions until they stopped. I haven't had any more today, so we're still on track to go in for the induction tonight around 9.
